Coventry Cathedral
In 1940 ,Coventry was bombed by the Germans and was pretty much leveled. In fact, the Germans began using the term "To coventrate" after they bombed Coventry as meaning "to blast the heck out of a place" They still have the ruins of the Cathedral standing and they have built a new one beside it.

It was really windy today and this girl had a very hard time keeping upright. She had 2-3 helpers holding up her costume and it still wasn't easily held upright!

Went to a big city today called Coventry. Most of you may not know the town, but you'll recognize a familiar citizen: Lady Godiva
They had a parade today that we went to see. Below you'll see a replica they made as a float in the parade of Lady Godiva
Below is the permanent statue of Lady Godiva in the city center. She rode bareback through the town in the 11 th century to help lower taxes. (They never mentioned if it worked...)
