Outside the "new" quarters built by a King for his bride. Can't remember which King and Queen, but this was the Thistle and Rose marriage that was hoped to unite England and Scotland. It wasn't very successful as depicted in one of the columns below. The king is looking at the other column with the queen's head. Both are not very happy.
